Lambeau Field Renovations
Lambeau Field is the third oldest facility in the National Football League and has been modified a number of times. GRAEF provided site/civil engineering and was the associate structural engineer for the $295 million renovation. The complex, phased project added 11,625 seats to the stadium, new luxury and press boxes, an upper concourse, and a large office/retail area called “Titletown.”
As site/civil engineer, GRAEF was responsible for utility relocation and enhancement, site improvements, stormwater detention and storm sewers, sanitary sewer design, new pavement design, and other site-related design. The design process was complicated by the phased construction schedule, which extended over a three-year period to keep the stadium operational during football season and the Packers administrative offices operational year-round.
As associate structural engineer, GRAEF designed deep and shallow foundation systems for the entire stadium development, below-grade structures, access tunnels, and a significant portion of the new Titletown addition.
