GRAEF is proud to be a leader in the engineering and design community, but we are even more proud to be leaders in the communities in which we work and live. GRAEF is more than just a business. We are committed to being civic leaders and encourage giving and volunteering at each of our locations. Our employees, who are vital to our professional success, are making a commitment to their neighbors and neighborhoods to help them flourish.
The GRAEF Foundation
Since its inception in 1961, when the three founders opened the doors of Graef, Anhalt, Schloemer & Associates, the firm has always prioritized giving back and employee volunteerism in the communities where they work and live.
While Graef, Anhalt Schloemer & Associates has been renamed GRAEF, the generous spirit of the founders lives on through the GRAEF Foundation. In 2000, the firm installed the GRAEF Foundation to support the future of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) based careers, and to promote charitable endeavors related to engineering, planning, and design.
Today, the GRAEF Foundation annually awards college scholarships to Engineering majors at five universities including the Milwaukee School of Engineering, UW-Milwaukee, UW-Platteville, UW-Madison, and Marquette University.
We are also proud to partner with the ACE Mentors Program of Chicago to provide a named scholarship to students who plan to study engineering, construction, and architecture in college over the next four years.
Through our foundation, GRAEF also funds college design programs and competitions, and has funded software for charitable firms designing and constructing infrastructure projects in underprivileged communities overseas.
