Green Bay VA

The new Veterans Affairs Outpatient Clinic dramatically increases services offered by the VA in the Green Bay area. The two-story clinic has 200,000 square feet and 1,200 parking spaces. It includes ambulatory surgery, a specialty clinic, women’s clinic, mental health department and diagnostic imaging.

GRAEF provided structural engineering services for the clinic that opened in 2013. The building is designed for blast and vehicle ram loads as a life-safety protected building. The exterior walls are solid grout filled masonry and brick designed to resist prescribed blast loads. The exterior bollards, earth berms and canopy columns are designed to withstand high speed collisions from vehicles.
