GRAEF Prepares for HQ Move to Downtown Milwaukee GRAEF’s New Milwaukee Headquarters are Making Quite a News Splash

GRAEF will ask its Milwaukee employees to pack up their desks in the Honey Creek Corporate Center just before the holiday break in December. When the 170 workers return at the end of the year, it will be at the new headquarters office in the top floor of the former Grand Avenue Mall, in the middle of Milwaukee’s most active downtown neighborhood for new development.

The change of venue is more than geographic. Instead of the more traditional, suburban business park setting offered in its current Honey Creek offices, employees will work on West Wisconsin Avenue in the hustle of downtown. Two floors below their open-concept office will be Milwaukee’s newest food hall. The Avenue’s Amenity Alley, with large workout rooms, will be at their disposal.

GRAEF has organized several programs to prepare employees for that cultural change, said principal Pat Kressin. “When you move offices, the design of the space is important for employees, but also what comes with that are questions,” Kressin said. “The things our employees were most concerned with are what to do downtown, transportation in and around downtown, and safety.”
