WisDOT County Highway JJ Manitowoc River Bridge Replacement
The project consisted of the bridge replacement and approach work on CTH JJ over the Manitowoc River to improve the overall safety by addressing structural deficiencies. Construction inspection of major items of work included the demolition and removal of the existing bridge structure B-36-19, construction of the new structure B-36-247 along with the reconstruction of the roadway approaches including grading, base course, concrete pavement, curb & gutter and surface drains, HMA pavement, beam guard, permanent signing, restoration, erosion control, pavement marking, traffic control along with all incidental items necessary to complete the work while maintaining a posted detour.
Construction was completed in 2022 and is part of a WisDOT Local Program.
