Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort
GRAEF provided engineering services for the Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort, which was constructed along both sides of North Ocean Boulevard (State Road A1A) between the Intracoastal Waterway and the Atlantic Ocean adjacent to the Hollywood Beachwalk. The project included a 200-room full-service hotel with extensive resort activities that included a massive recreational deck for lounging and sunbathing, a lap pool, and a wave surfing machine. Additional amenities along the Intracoastal Waterway included kayak and paddle board rentals with a sand volleyball court and a transit stop for docking of the City water taxi.
Civil engineering services included the design and preparation of construction documents and permits as well as construction administration for all components of the site infrastructure including paving, grading, drainage, water and sewer, and roadway improvements.
Coastal engineering services included planning, permitting, and design of waterside facilities along the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). Additional services included obtaining an FDEP permit for work waterward of the Coastal Construction Control Line (CCCL) along the shoreline of the Atlantic Ocean.
