Loei Badreddine PE, SE, LEED AP
Loei was a valued member of the GRAEF team since 1994. He began his career at GRAEF as a structural engineer and was later named a principal, vice president, a director of the board, and the firm's Madison, WI office leader. Throughout the years, Loei consistently demonstrated an unyielding commitment to his fellow team members and his clients.
Loei graduated with a B.S in Civil Engineering in 1986, and a M.S in 1988 from the University of Wisconsin Madison, where he met his wife, Jenny. Together they raised two beautiful children, their daughter Jasmine and son Rami.
Education was important to Loei. He went on to receive his MBA from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee and was part of the graduating class of the American Council of Engineering Companies’ (ACEC) Senior Executives Institute. He dedicated much of his time as an adjunct professor at the University of Wisconsin Madison and the Milwaukee School of Engineering to support the advancement of students studying civil and environmental engineering.
Loei was one of the most creative and highly technical engineers in the industry. He worked on projects throughout the world. Among many others, his most well-known project was the Milwaukee Art Museum Addition, where he was the lead project engineer. He worked closely with world-renowned architect Santiago Calatrava, on this famous first project in America.
When Loei was not fulfilling professional and educational commitments, he would contribute his time and effort toward benefitting his community. Loei valued engaging with his community and donated countless hours of his time to many local non-profit organizations.
Loei will not only be remembered for his unmatched professional career, but also for his dedication to his family, his exceptional artistic abilities, and his love for travel and running.
He will be deeply missed.
