GRAEF celebrates Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr Day
On this day, GRAEF employees remember Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr, and reflect on his vision of a United States without racism that embraces civil rights and equality for all. To read more about Dr. King’s leadership and legacy, please consider the following resources:

Did you know that it took 15 years of persistence by civil rights activists after Dr. King’s assassination for the holiday to be federally recognized through legislation, and an additional 17 years for all 50 states to recognize the holiday? The history of the holiday is described in a blog post by the National Museum of African American History & Culture here: https://nmaahc.si.edu/blog-post/15-year-battle-martin-luther-king-jr-day
Martin Luther King Jr. Day is traditionally a day of service for Americans across the country. As a firm, we encourage our employees to take the opportunity to give back to their communities through volunteerism in honor of Dr. King.
