Alex Motl, PE, PTOE, RSP1 – Principal, Practice Area Leader - Transportation

Alex has been a key leader in GRAEF’s transportation practice for over six years, contributing to team growth, stronger client relationships, and expanded capabilities across public and private sectors. Known for her expertise in transportation planning, traffic operations, and multimodal solutions, she excels at turning complex challenges into practical strategies that enhance safety and connectivity. Beyond her project work, she is actively involved in industry organizations and mentorship efforts through WTS, ACEC and ITE, demonstrating a strong commitment to advancing the profession and supporting future STEM leaders.

Off the Clock: Alex is rarely without a good book and a cup of coffee (or a glass of wine).

 

Joe Parker, PE, SE — Principal, Structural Engineer

Joe has over 13 years of experience delivering structural solutions across diverse sectors and projects. At GRAEF, he is a respected technical leader known for sound judgment, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence. He effectively guides teams through complex design challenges with a focus on clarity, precision, and constructability, earning trust from clients and colleagues alike. His expertise and leadership continue to strengthen the firm’s structural practice through technical contributions and mentorship.

Off the Clock: Joe enjoys relaxing weekends outdoors with his family and appreciates time spent at home together.

 

Kyle Poklar, PE, SE — Principal, Practice Area Leader – Structural

Kyle started at GRAEF as an intern and has grown over 13 years into a highly influential structural leader. As Practice Area Leader, he drives technical excellence, team development, and successful project delivery across markets, with deep expertise in structural systems and post-tensioned concrete. Passionate about creating projects that deliver lasting community value, Kyle is also recognized for his innovative approach and ability to connect engineering solutions with broader community impact.

Off the Clock: Kyle enjoys logic puzzles and outdoor adventures with his family, from parks to hiking trails.

Jad Antoun, PE — Associate, Structural Engineer

Jad began his engineering career in Beirut, Lebanon, before earning his master’s degree at Louisiana State University. Since joining GRAEF five years ago, he has built a strong reputation for his expertise in concrete structures, renovations, and repair design. Jad is valued for his thoughtful approach, technical depth, and commitment to preserving and enhancing structures that serve communities for generations to come.

Off the Clock: Jad enjoys taking advantage of everything Florida has to offer, whether on the golf course, at the beach, or in the state’s parks and trails.

 

Sean G. Barron, PE — Associate, Structural Engineer

Sean joined GRAEF five years ago after relocating from the Twin Cities and has since contributed to a wide range of projects throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. He specializes in light-frame wood construction and is known for delivering efficient, practical solutions through creative problem-solving. Sean thrives in multidisciplinary environments and values collaboration that leads to thoughtful, successful outcomes for clients and communities.

Off the Clock: Sean spends weekends running with his wife and hanging out with their dog and three cats.

 

Justin Bittenbender, PE — Associate, Market Team Leader – Mixed Use

Justin has been with GRAEF for ten years, building his career around solving complex structural challenges across diverse markets and project types. He leads GRAEF’s internal wood construction technical committee and actively supports the firm’s structural sustainability initiatives. Justin brings a strategic perspective to design challenges and is energized by work that supports creativity, innovation, and value through thoughtful project planning.

Off the Clock: Justin is a collector of hobbies and creative pursuits. Always collecting records and recently, cookbooks, to explore new cuisines.

 

Joy Corona, PE, CFM — Associate, Water Resources and Environmental Practice Team Leader

Joy joined GRAEF three years ago and brings strong expertise in water resources engineering, specializing in stormwater management, municipal systems, and environmental planning. She supports the growth of the firm’s Water Resources practice by delivering practical, long-term solutions that reduce flood risk and build community resilience. Passionate about climate adaptation, Joy focuses on projects that mitigate flooding, enhance watershed health, and improve environmental sustainability.

Off the Clock: Joy loves spending time with family and cheering on her kids at sporting events.

 

Aaron Gerhards, PE — Associate, Structural Engineer

Aaron has been with GRAEF for eight years and has contributed to a broad range of structural assignments for both new and existing facilities. He specializes in steel and concrete design, as well as evaluation and retrofit work. Aaron is committed to delivering durable, high-performing solutions through strong collaboration, technical excellence, and responsive client service.

Off the Clock: Aaron balances biking, running, and tennis with another specialty, baking impressive French macarons.

 

Megan Hayes, PE — Associate, Structural Engineer

Megan began her career at GRAEF supporting large and technically complex facilities projects. She has developed expertise in equipment foundations, structural steel design, and connection engineering for industrial environments. Megan is focused on delivering safe, efficient, and adaptable solutions that support both current operations and future growth.

Off the Clock: Megan enjoys home renovation projects, golf outings, and hikes with her Newfoundland dog.

 

Ben McGillicuddy, PE — Associate, Transportation Engineer

Ben spent the first six and a half years of his career with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation before joining GRAEF five years ago. He specializes in transportation project management, roadway design, and public-sector project delivery. Ben is passionate about improving mobility, accessibility, and safety while helping create stronger, more connected communities.

Off the Clock: Ben enjoys weekends by the lakefront, visiting beer gardens, and trying new restaurants with family and friends.

 

Peter Weatherer, PE — Associate, Structural Engineer

Peter began his career in Washington, D.C., gaining experience across multiple markets and structural systems before joining GRAEF seven years ago. He has since contributed to a variety of complex and technically challenging projects. Peter is passionate about innovative, efficient structural design with a strong focus on sustainability and the advancement of emerging building systems.

Off the Clock: Peter is a dedicated cyclist who loves traveling and racing on weekends.

 

Kaitlyn Witkowiak, PE — Associate, Civil Engineer

Kaitlyn discovered her passion for municipal engineering during a college internship and has since become a key member of GRAEF’s Public Works team. She supports multiple municipalities and serves in trusted client-facing roles. Kaitlyn is dedicated to building strong relationships and delivering infrastructure solutions that enhance safety, functionality, and quality of life.

Off the Clock: Kaitlyn enjoys tackling house projects and the occasional HomeGoods treasure hunt.
