Earnhardt Memorial Pedestrian Bridge
GRAEF delivered structural and electrical engineering services for the rehabilitation of the Earnhardt Memorial Pedestrian Bridge, a single-span Continental® truss structure spanning 209 feet in length and 20 feet in width. Located adjacent to the iconic Daytona International Speedway, the bridge serves as a symbolic gateway for over 10 million visitors annually. The project involved developing detailed construction documents to implement repair recommendations outlined in a Bridge Inspection Report prepared by a third party. In addition, GRAEF designed an updated lighting system, replacing the existing uplights at each architectural concrete pier to enhance the bridge's visual impact and functionality.
