Village of Germantown Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan

GRAEF was hired by the Village to work alongside village staff and the Park & Recreation Commission to create the current 2021-2026 Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan. This plan guides recreation management, trail expansion, and park development for the next five years and enables the Village to apply for grant funding from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) and other funding sources.

The Comprehensive Outdoor Recreation Plan for the Village of Germantown incorporates information from past and present planning efforts in the Village, Washington County, the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC), and the State of Wisconsin. This plan also uses metrics and benchmarking data aggregated by the National Recreation & Park Association (NRPA) to evaluate the Village’s own facilities.
