Miami International Airport Building 3089 (Park 8) 40/50 Year Recertification

GRAEF provided structural and electrical engineering services for the 50-year recertification of Building 3098 (Car Park 8) at Miami International Airport (MIA). GRAEF provided a field observation and report for repairs and upgrades, performed and prepared in accordance to Miami-Dade County Code 8-11(f).

The scope of work for the field observation phase included reviewing the existing facility documentation, preparing preliminary documentation and plans for the observation, performing an onsite investigation, and performing file documentation and archiving after the site investigation.

The scope of work for the analysis/report phase included code research and review, coordination with Miami Dade Aviation Authority (MDAD) and MIA staff, analysis of select portions of the existing structure to assure safety, preparation of the 40/50 Year Recertification Report, and a preliminary cost estimate.
