The scope of the project included the design and construction of new facilities, as well as alteration and additions to existing facility spaces and systems, modifications to underground utilities, a new outbound baggage handling system, and a new in-line baggage screening system capable of screening 3,200 bags per hour. The team also had to take into account detailed phasing and coordination to mitigate impacts on airline and airport operations.
