Five GRAEF Projects Rank Among The Daily Reporter’s Top Projects of 2024

The Daily Reporter has recognized five GRAEF projects in their rankings for Top Projects of 2024. This prestigious awards list honors the top construction projects in Wisconsin, recognizing outstanding achievements by local builders, owners, engineers, architects, and more.

 

GRAEF projects receiving recognition include:

Breakwater 233 Apartments

GRAEF provided structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and environmental engineering services for this luxurious 5-story, 202-unit apartment complex on the shores of Lake Michigan. Amenities include a rooftop terrace, state-of-the-art fitness center, and car charging stations. The LEED Silver Certified building features light-frame wood construction supported by a post-tensioned concrete podium with one level of parking, and a rooftop solar array.

 

The Couture

GRAEF provided civil, MEP and fire protection engineering, landscape architecture, and low voltage/technology services for the 44-story mixed-use tower that serves as a catalyst for future development within Milwaukee’s Lakefront Gateway District.

 

ProHealth Care Waukesha Memorial Hospital NICU Expansion and Renovation

GRAEF provided structural engineering services for the 44,361-square-foot vertical expansion and renovation of ProHealth Care Waukesha Memorial Hospital’s LDRP and Level III NICU to enhance critical patient care and safety. The project includes the addition of two C-Section operating suites, modernized labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum areas, as well as an updated floorplan to introduce private single- and double-patient rooms.

 

MCHS La Crosse Bed Tower

GRAEF provided engineering services for the new 270,000-square-foot impatient tower expansion. The new six-story tower includes a basement, rooftop helipad, MRI dock, new entrance canopy and is being design for future two-story vertical and horizontal expansion.

 

Baird Center Expansion

GRAEF served as the structural engineer for this historic exposition hall expansion as a part of The Wisconsin Center District in Downtown Milwaukee. The Baird Center Expansion brings the exposition hall to 300,000 contiguous square feet, adding 24 new meeting rooms, additional parking, six loading docks, executive kitchen, and a spectacular fourth-floor ballroom with space for a minimum of 2,000 for a seated dinner.

 

Village of Germantown Department of Public Works Facility

GRAEF provided structural, civil, and MEP engineering, industrial and landscape architecture and surveying services for the Germantown DPW facility that houses the new Public Works Garage, salt shed, fueling station, and resident drop-off recycling center.
