Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport Ticketing Terminal Expansion

GRAEF led the design and engineering efforts for the expansion of the ticketing terminal at Destin-Fort Walton Beach Airport (VPS) in Okaloosa County, Florida. Serving as the prime consultant, GRAEF oversaw all aspects of project management and delivered site/civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and structural engineering services.

The project focused on enhancing passenger experience and operational efficiency through the design of a new ticketing and lobby expansion. This included the addition of modernized restrooms and improved circulation pathways to accommodate increased passenger volumes. GRAEF’s integrated approach ensured that the expanded terminal met current demands and positioned VPS for future growth, with thoughtful attention to functionality, safety, and aesthetic appeal.

By coordinating closely with airport stakeholders and county officials, GRAEF successfully delivered a solution that streamlined check-in processes, improved spatial flow, and elevated the overall travel experience at one of Florida’s key regional airports.
