Marquette University O’Brien Hall
Dr. E. J. and Margaret O’Brien Hall is the new home for the College of Business Administration, Graduate School of Management, and innovation leadership programs at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
The four-story, 109,000 square-foot facility features classrooms with collaborative classrooms, labs and study spaces, as well as an event space, café, faculty offices and dedicated areas for their multi-disciplinary centers of excellence.
The new facility houses business and interdisciplinary leadership programs, establishes a hub for innovation, and engages community stakeholders across the University while linking students, faculty, and industry leaders to the Milwaukee region and beyond.
O’Brien Hall took the place of the former McCormick Hall, which Marquette demolished in 2019. O’Brien Hall is the largest fully donor-funded construction project in Marquette’s history.
GRAEF provided structural engineering, civil engineering and GRAEFaccelerāte® on the $60 million dollar project. Other project partners included BNIM, Workshop Architects, and built by J.H. Findorff & Son Inc. The new hall opened to students in January 2023.
