John has committed his career to the field of engineering, dedicating his practice to stormwater management and site development. He has spent his entire 45-year career at GRAEF including 24 years as a Principal, while also serving as the Technical Practice Leader for Storm Water Management and the leader of the site development team in the Infrastructure Group. He is also an ASCE Life Member and a past-president of the Southeast Branch of the Wisconsin Section of ASCE.

John received his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Marquette University in 1974. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Wisconsin and Illinois, and a LEED accredited professional. Some of his higher-profile projects include 12 years on the MMSD’s Water Pollution Abatement Program; and site/civil design for the Calatrava addition to the Milwaukee Art Museum, the Northwestern Mutual Tower and Commons, Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital, the Harley Davidson Museum, numerous projects within the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, and the Potawatomi Hotel and Casino.

John is extremely deserving of this award that honors outstanding STEM leaders and practitioners in SE Wisconsin. We are so proud of John and his accomplishments throughout his career. Please help us congratulate John!
