Underwood Crossing
Underwood Crossing is Brookfield’s newest retail development, a Class “A”, Target anchored retail center totaling approximately 175,000 square feet. The center also includes a Trader Joe’s and PNC Bank along with future plans for retail and a restaurant.
GRAEF provided master planning, site/civil and environmental engineering, landscape architecture, and survey services to site developer, Ryan Companies US, Inc.
The 23-acre site previously held a printing plant, Quebecor World, which closed in 2006. Our environmental and site/civil engineers were involved in the plant demolision and remediation of the brownfield site to make way for this development. GRAEF led the entitlement process through the City of Brookfield.
The overall plan made special considerations for sustainability, pedestrian and bicycle access, and a strong connection to the neighborhood.
Award: Retail Development of the Year, Commercial Association of Realtors Wisconsin.
