Midland States Bank
GRAEF provided mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection services for the design of Midland States Bank. The bank headquarters is a 79,500-square-foot, four-story facility with partial basement build-out. The project received LEED® Silver certification.
Mechanical features include a four-story atrium with a smoke evacuation system, water cooled chillers with cooling tower, and a central station air handling unit with a central mechanical chase for duct work distribution system.
Interior lighting was designed to accentuate spaces while providing maximum control through daylighting, continuous dimming, occupancy control, as well as scene selection controls in several training and conference rooms. Light fixtures were selected based on their output efficiency as well as overall aesthetic features. With this approach we were able to provide a much lower lighting power density. The site lighting design incorporated full cut off fixtures to minimize the amount of wasted up light and comply with LEED and Dark Sky requirements. LED technology was used as the primary parking lot light source.
