Jackson WPDES
The Village of Jackson, in anticipation of receiving its first MS4 Stormwater Permit from the State of Wisconsin, wanted to develop and administrate several programs such as information and education, illicit discharge program, pollutant load calculations, and catch basin cleaning program. The Village also wanted to update their stormwater management plan (SWMP) and related ordinances to address quality of stormwater runoff throughout the community and to set baseline sediment removal for privately-owned stormwater management facilities. As the Village is within the Milwaukee River Watershed and has Jackson and Cedar Creeks flowing through it, the project targeted total suspended solids and total phosphorus consistent with the new Milwaukee River TMDL requirements.
The Village contracted GRAEF to provide project management to ensure good standing with the WDNR UNPS Planning Grant, WPDES permit condition compliance, develop a stormwater facility baseline and maintenance program, and update the existing SWMP and ordinances. GRAEF combined all the necessary data and updates into a final report for submittal to the WDNR for grant reimbursement
